The Saar-Lor-Lux Umweltzentrum was founded in 1993 as part of the Chamber of Handicraft (HWK) of Saarbrücken. Right now, the staff comprises 7 people (6 academic, 1 non-academic). The major field of activity is to inform, train and consult the SME 's within the federal state of Saarland (about 10.000 SME). Besides the concrete presence in the companies (internal audits for legal compliance) the Umweltzentrum organises trainings for companies (EMAS, renewable energies, waste management etc.). Last not least, the Umweltzentrum publishes brochures and other information tool for the SME including topics like waste management and environmental management.

 

The Modell Hohenlohe Netzwerk betrieblicher Umweltschutz und nachhaltiges Wirtschaften e.V. is a regional network of about 180 companies which works for better environmental management and sustainable economics. We have organised various clusters around environmental management, energy and material efficiency. The Modell Hohenlohe runs also different working groups about Environmental Management, Energy and Quality and offers regularily seminars and workshops around special environmental management themes.

Förderkreis Umweltschutz in Unterfranken (FUU) e.V. is a regional non-profit association (about 70 members, mainly companies) which develops und supports sustainable environmental concepts like EMAS(easy), energy efficiency, green procurement, environmental auditing. The FUU runs 3 working groups Environmental Management, Energy and Agenda 21 and offers regularily seminars and workshops around special environmental management themes.
